In the afternoon all participants with their supervising tutors, DOPs, set designers and set managers visited the shooting location. All scenes were shot in one location the building of old Bank used recently by the French Institute Warsaw. Each of participants was to choose shooting space out of various spaces, rooms and facilities. Only one scene by Marius Ivaškevičius was shoot outside (old cemetery) – the reason was that all “Baltic affair” scenes are exterior. All the chosen shooting sets were arranged by set designers accordingly to projects’ needs. During next days all pre-production activities took place: rehearsals with actors and meetings with DOPs – accordingly to schedules attached. The focus on pre-production process was stimulated by the master classes and lectures: Wojciech Marczewski’s “Fingerprints film” – based on “Shivers” dir. Wojciech Marczewski and “POVs” by Udayan Prasad. The production of 9 scenes lasted 3 days. As usually each team had at their disposal one day for shooting, one day for editing. Simultaneously the individual script/treatments analysis with Jan Fleicher were run. The one day before the end of the session was focused on preparation of the location and the scenes for shooting during second session. Each of participants had meetings with the tutors advising on scenes’ (Wojciech Marczewski, Udayan Prasad, Denijal Hasanovic), and set designer (Anna Wunderlich).
